Who The Warriors Will Take, Who They Should Take

June 25

The Warriors choose seventh today in the draft.

If they pick for need, Jordan Hill would give them a rebounding presence, or Jonny Flynn would be the point guard that Monta can’t be.  Despite his lack of size, Flynn is tough and has swagger.  If they pick for sheer offensive talent and Stephen Curry is there, they pick Curry.

Who will be the best NBA player among those three?  My money’s on Curry.  He could be a big-time scorer a la Reggie Miller.  Is that what the Warriors need right now?  No.  But if the Jamal Crawford trade goes through they have the cap space to get a real point guard like Andre Miller.

This would allow Monta to do what he does best — and that is not running a team, but occupying spaces on the floor where he can be most effective.  It would also take pressure off Curry, because he could come off the bench with Corey Maggette.  The Warriors could then deal Brandan Wright for a banger to help Biedrins, someone like Paul Millsaps.

There has also been talk of a deal involving Amare Stoudamire and Andris Biedrins.  Amare, Monta, Jack, Maggette, Randolph, Curry plus another banger?

Now you’ve got a team.  But I’m no Larry Riley.

One thing we know for sure…Nellie will treat the rookie like dirt.
    This franchise is a joke.

I am waiting for the media to call the Warriors on the “Little Nellie” move.
    Why did the fire Mully?
